THE TOURISM POTENTIAL OF ROMANIA. CASE STUDY BLACK SEA COAST

The national tourism sector could be a source of income for the national economy, with important effects on the labour market and the development of local regions. The development of tourism must be linked to the major objectives of sustainable development at national level. The paper proposes an analysis of the Romanian tourism on the Black Sea coast, using the official statistical data. The Romanian Black Sea coast is a complex region, with a length of 245 km, with the Danube Delta and the Razim-Sinoe lagoon complex in the north, while in the south, about 70 km, that increases its tourist value. Seaside resorts are internationally well-known, with modern accommodation, treatment centers and various entertainment opportunities. Evolution of accommodation capacity and number of tourists could be positive signals for the national tourism sector, but should be supported by local and national measures, and by adequate investment and marketing strategies of national companies.

POSTMODERNITATE SI GLOBALIZARE ÎN LUMEA CONTEMPORANĂ -SCURTE CONSIDERAŢII TEOLOGICE ASUPRA OMULUI ŞI RELIGIEI-

The entire human society today is under the sign of postmodernity and globalization, the last one, understood as a global interconnection phenomenon, which feeds a consciousness of globality, constituting itself in a huge super-culture network, where the past, present and future are beeing deformed due to the compression of space and time (David Harvey). This is the size of a global/universal village (Marshall McLuhan) with a flattening consciousness, but also flattened, which it disintegrates to the abandonment of spiritual values, proposing/propelling only the utilitarian values ​​into the foreground. In this world of ideas in constant change, which is leading to a climate of moral and metaphysical uncertainty, our work below is intended to be a signal on the vicious relationship between globalization, postmodernity, and globality, these emphasizing only the reductionist consciousness of utilitarian values ​​through the cohesion between information, entertainment and consumption.  This leads to a utopia of the horror, where the man -  constitutive totality between the soul and the body - is crushed by the new anthropocentric ideological system that makes the man, the face of God's Image in History, to become a man without roots, and also without a spiritual form.

NIGERIA'S ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH TOURISM PROMOTION/SUSTAINABILITY

Nigeria is currently facing the economic growth and development challenge. This economic challenge is occasioned by her mono-cultural economic reliance on the single resource of crude oil export revenue as well as other internal and international effects that have affected her economic drive towards heightened growth and development. The Nigerian government had over the years been looking at ways of diversifying the economy for greater growth and development especially given the various economic challenges facing the economy, especially the steep reduction in the crude oil revenue because of continuous volatility of international oil price. This paper therefore uses the research methodology case study to do a holistic assessment of the Nigeria’s possibility of diversifying into her huge tourism potentials for economic growth and development. This would be done equally by drawing relevant comparative analysis of other countries hugely reaping economic benefits in Africa and other continents across the globe.

MULTICULTURALISM IN CORPORATE ENVIRONMENT

Leading companies in the current business environment tend to create associations, affiliations or joint ventures for finally getting a higher power or an increased share on the market. This kind of increase creates fast corporate globalization and a more complex inside multicultural communication. The current study is part of a more complex methodology and the presented qualitative part analyse if the multicultural communication density creates a higher productivity or disruptive activity inside the companies. To have a clearer overview on that matter we have asked managers opinions in a set of structured interviews. The interviewed persons are middle or high management personnel in a multinational company. The main goal of the study is to identify if the multiculturalism influences productivity and results inside a multinational company. This research relieved that the analysed companies standardized enough the internal communication and the cultural part has a minimum influence in the firm results.

RURAL TOURISM DYNAMICS IN ROMANIA - THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT

In Romania the foundations of rural tourism are to be found in the second half of the 19th century, when just like Western European aristocracy, the great landowners and aristocratic families began to spend their summer seasons in the countryside. The post-war, proletarian period is marked by growing appetite for urban “resort type” tourism, the rural area option for leisure remaining only a secondary alternative. In the free economy, the leisure model is marked by a new change in people’s preferences. On the other hand, the competitive pressure exerted by the big agricultural producers, the low level of technological endowment of the Romanian agriculture, as well as the migration of the working age population to the urban areas and/or to other countries led to severe competitiveness losses and to deepening development gaps. Our paper focuses on the performances set by the National Program for Rural Development as the main mechanism for rural economic competitiveness and gap bridging.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

An important target in education for entrepreneurship in international business is to develop opportunities to establish, secure and promote national and cross-border exchange of information in science and research. Intensifying networking and improving exchange between science, industry and society is paramount in further developing funding activities for the validation of research results on the basis of a broad concept of innovation which encompasses technological and societal challenges in equal measure. EU governments introduce a new funding measure to drive the internationalization of leading-edge clusters, forward-looking projects and other similar networks. The aim is to strengthen the management skills and expertise of outstanding clusters and networks in cross-cultural international cooperation. Digital transformation in science is performed in order to take advantage of the opportunities which e-environments offer in terms of research productivity, international collaboration, and research income earned from industry against the number of academic staff employed.

DOBROGEA VINEYARDS AND WINES

Dobrogea is a national area with considerable wine potential due to the favourable climate, the soil quality and the vineyard tradition. Dobrogea wines are recognised and appreciated at national and international level, being required for export from antiquity. The article proposes an analysis of wine and grape production in Tulcea and Constanta counties, with an emphasis on the last five years. The Dobrogea wine-growing region consists of Sarica-Niculiţel, Istria-Babadag, and Murfatlar vineyards, with nine wine-growing centers associated with vineyards and five independent wine-growing centres. The presence of domestic transport networks, connected to the national network, facilitates the circulation and consumption of Dobrogea wine products at local, national and other countries. Using appropriate marketing strategies could lead to substantial sales and profits for Dobrogea producers.

ETHICAL CONDUCT AND REGULATIONS IN SPEECH THERAPY COURSES

A lot of studies demonstrated how the design and implementation of an investigation depends of ethical laws and regulations in a particular research domain. A well–realized experiment may be responsible for responses to requests such as: What are the key information set that research participants read and understood and how these are reflected in the process of speech therapy? Is the participation in the research voluntary and the participant understood that is free to withdraw at any time lacking communicate any cause? Are the research participants agree with using personal data including medical data? Are the research participants informed about the potential risks and possible discomfort generated by the interviews? Are the research participants informed how personal data is protected, the personal data being confidential? In such context, this paper categorizes ethical problems that is concerned with speech therapy education. After the debate of ethical principles, a code of conduct was designed. Because the results of this study are convincing, these will be responsible for future patients of speech therapy.

„FLOAREA DE FOC” („FIRE FLOWER”) - SANDU TUDOR'S NEWSPAPER

The paper, as the title has announced, proposes a discussion about Sandu Tudor's newspaper Floarea de Foc ("Fire Flower"), political and literary magazine, published sporadically (1932, 1933, 1936). In the art manifesto Sandu Tudor proclaimed the need for a „nurturing word” and „clean thinking”. Collaborators was some of the leading Trăirists, modernists or political radicals: Eliade, Manoliu, Sterian, Emil Cioran, Eugène Ionesco, Arșavir Acterian, Haig Acterian, Dan Botta, Ovidiu Papadima, Camil Petrescu, Henri H. Stahl, Horia Stamatu and Octav Șuluțiu. Maiorescu's modernist disciple, Eugen Lovinescu, was also scolded by Floarea de Foc. More famously, Ionesco used the magazine for his polemical pieces targeting the contemporary literary scene and the mainstream of modernism, with a stern defense of authenticity. In our attempt to reconstruct a truthful image of „Floarea de foc” („Fire flower”), we combine the documents from the C.N.S.A.S. (National Council for Studying the Security Archives) archive with memoirs.

THE DYNAMICS OF ATHLETIC PERFORMANCES IN THE SEMIFOND TRIALS FOR THE FINALISTS IN THE ANCIENT OLYMPICS GAMES

The best results recorded for the 3rd-8th places in the men’s 800m event were obtained in the year 2012, during the Olympic Games from London, when the performance for the 3rd place was below 1:43.00, while the following places have small differences between each other – 8th place obtained 1:43.77. The better and better performances and the increasingly developed show during the great athletic competitions (Olympic Games) and the desire to get more information concerning the evolution of the performances in the medium-distance running events, made us choose the present subject. The evolution of the results for the 3rd to 8th places in the Olympic Games, for the medium distance events, has shown an oscillating dynamics from one edition to another, based on multiple factors that cannot always be controlled. The purpose of the present study is to highlight the aspects related to the dynamics of the sportive performance in the medium-distance athletic events during the Olympic Games, as well as to render an as objective and complete opinion as possible, on the evolution of the results for the 3rd to 8th places.

A POLITICAL AGENDA OF SPORTS?

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the most recent running marathons in Bucharest to see whether they are part of a political agenda or not, and if yes, what are the reasons for this. Is this a way of allowing people to bond together, and to take part in charity? Is this part of the way media imposes its agenda on people, or vice-versa? Is it a way of political elites to control the masses and make them take part in welfare activities? The paper will take into account the hypothesis of sports and welfare holding communities together.

THE SMART CITY PROJECT - A METAPHOR TO BE DEFENDED

The paradigm of network society emphasizes a distinct pattern comparing to the previous information society. According to Castells(1999), the network society is in many aspects the result of ongoing innovations embbedding social networks. But the question of how technological  improvements (intelligent design, the use of intelligent devices, and a larger distribution of knowledge among diverse layers and dimensions of social networks) transform individuals, cultural practices and society  into   networks of stakeholders and "interconnected life",  gives different responses depending on the positionning of the researcher inside/outside a specific field of studies or knowledge network, and  the attitude adopted towards or against technological pattern. One of the issues which work as differentiating operators among reflexive and, respectively, programmed regimes of virtuality and reality, or among institutional logic and network architecture is rationality, reasonability and emotions on the one hand, and the multilevel intelligence on the other hand. The binom rationality -reasonability cannot be easy translated  into the human-artificial intelligence continuum. The latter links science anthropology, neurophisiology and biology of cognition to underline the unidimensionality of the intelligent agent - the digital network-, while social science and institutional rationality meet organisations and political thinking throughout or at least in between reglementation and performance. According to Benkler, Levy and Jenkins complex intelligent forms (platforms, languages, algorithms, etc) host, embbed, integrate and develop new forms of "collective intelligence" which depend mostly -as the convergent culture does- " on interactions of users with intelligent devices but also on continuously optimization of interactions among human and nonhuman actors”, a dialogue from which both the sense of reality and the intelligent optimization of tools emerge. The concept of „smart city” reflects and expands this ambiguity but also provide openings and interconnections. The current reflexive approach tries to identify features and distinctions among a “high‐tech variation of the ‘entrepreneurial city’”(Hollands, 2008) and  “a neo-evolutionary perspective included within the triple-helix model” (Leyersdorf & Deakin, 2011).

SPORT MARKETING RESEARCH

Sport marketing research is the process of planning, collecting and analyzing data (a) to gain relevant information or solve a problem to enhance decisions in the sport business exchange process and (b) to enhance the body of knowledge in sport marketing as a field of study. In the first instance - to gain information or solve a problem, research is a fundamental tool for the sport company to obtain information or solve a problem. Information is necessary for formulating decisions concerning the sport company’s financial aspects, product development, pricing strategies, distribution strategies, promotional strategies, and all other functions and operations within the company. This information comes from research. In the second instance - to enhance the body of knowledge in sport marketing, research is conducted to add to and further the level of knowledge about a topic in sport marketing. This type of research is typically developed based on a conceptual framework. That is, it should be based on theory.

THE PERCEPTIONS OF WELL-BEING AND THE IMPORTANCE OF REGULATIONS ON THE WORK SAFETY OF TEACHERS

In the first part of the article we will establish a general framework to discuss the prevalence of causes and  forms of burnout in organizational climate, focusing on the cases of teachers working in the department of  Constanta, Romania The study is based on a series of interviews that focuses on the consequences of prevailing workload, work precarity, organizational climate and  occupational well-being related health problems, aiming to provide a more appropriate understanding of the vulnerabilities and the blockages experienced by teachers. Different responses are captured here in a model of stress and coping that focuses on the reflection of their perceived psychological well-being. Finally, by offering a closer examination the respondents’ well-being, we will seek to identify a concrete manner how the faults in the public education system have led to an increased pressure regarding the psychological strain of work, taking into account the multiple levels of the phenomenon.

UNITED KINGDOM’S ROLE IN ROMANIA’S FOREIGN TRADE

The general efficiency of foreign trade, from the point of view of import and export interdependence, has a major impact on the country’s economic development. On the other hand, the greater the domestic economic development the more intense the foreign economic relations. In these circumstances, the efficiency of foreign trade becomes an important factor in building a future economic path. Highlighting the United Kingdom’s role in Romania’s foreign trade is particularly necessary, especially after a crisis that proved the danger of economic interdependencies.
